We are excited to welcome Emily Hegner to the Kirtland Public Library as our new Director. Emily comes to us from the Portage County Library System, where she managed two of their branches in the southern portion of the county. Emily started her career at the Chardon Public Library in 2011. During her 15-year career she has worked at almost every position in a library. Emily obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Cleveland State University and her Master of Information and Library Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.  

Emily grew up in Kirtland and Chardon.  She is excited to be back in the area and has had a lifelong dream of being a library director.  She fondly remembers visiting the Kirtland Public Library as a child. Please stop by the Library and welcome Emily home.
